This is a huge and controversial album. John Rid had never released such a long album before.

The first sketches for the album were made on the afternoon of the first day of the new year, January 1, 2022. At the time, John Rid was on a creative streak, having recently released an EP and completed work on a previous album due out in a few weeks. In the days that followed, such compositions as "Drops in Space", "Maze" and "Human" were created. These are the first three tracks on the tracklist. Later, when creating the next composition "Afflatus", John Rid had problems. He couldn't write it. I suffered for several days, choosing the right notes, etc. As a result, after many edits, the composition was completed. But John still didn't like the result. Later, a few days later, on January 14, a good composition "Paradox" was written. It differed from the previous ones in that it was a purely piano composition without the use of synthesizers and other instruments. But she was connected with the past by the fact that in the beginning there were sounds that were recorded on a microphone. For example, in the composition "Human" the sound of a crowd of people is heard in the first seconds. And in the "Paradox" the ticking of the clock. What do these sounds mean?
What did this author want to convey? John Rid planned for the whole album to be with this idea, but still, not all compositions differed with this idea. It was the so-called first period of the album, which lasted from January 1 to January 14, 2022, when the first compositions were written. Then John took a break for a few days, as he felt tired and did not feel that inspiring creative upsurge that accompanied him in the first days of working on the album. But on February 2, he learned that his close relative, who had cancer, began to deteriorate in health, she was dying. This news shocked John so much that he decided to continue recording the album. The composition "Extinction" was written under the impression of this news and is dedicated to it. In the same days, "Epilepsy" was written, one of the strangest compositions of John, which stood out in his handwriting, "Nature" - a calm, but at the same time gloomy composition, arising from "Epilepsy". "Clear" is an incredible atmospheric ambient music released as a single before the release of the album. These compositions were made on the same day. The next day, February 3, another ambient or even dark ambient track "Unconscious Flight" was recorded. "Alien House" is an electronic track, and the next song written "Beautiful" is piano music with violin accompaniment.
John then moves away from the album again, but soon breaks into it on February 19, 2022. On this day, the third and the period of the creation of the album begins. John Rid wrote the song "Though the Earth", but at first he planned not to include it on the album, but to sell it as NFT, but later abandoned this idea. The track "Feeling" was written next, and John liked it so much that he released it as a single before the release of the album, along with the track "Clear". Next up was a crazy EDM song called Humor. The next work was the track "Gust", followed by the last in the track list of dark ambient music, the final album "What Is This?". The compositions "Dark Painting", "Always" and "Rotation" were the last compositions written for this album.

The result is a rather eccentric and strange album that stands out from John's previous work. Some tracks are creepy, others are airy and melodic. Sometimes one calm and pleasant composition can coexist with another disturbing and creepy composition. separate.
