about

Is introspection only available to a select few? can all people look at themselves? is it necessary? - These are the questions that John Rid asked while working on his ninth full-length album.
Cry of Distant Ideals and Dreams is a 36 minute album of orchestral pieces. This is a concept album about how one, emotional, man is trying to overcome his vices. This person goes through apathy, war with the mind, the pursuit of happiness. Only on beautiful nights, this person is calm, spending time in his imaginary world. And with the dawn, experiencing anxious and melancholic hopes, he gets up and goes to conquer the dream.
John Rid was very young when making this album. These musical impulses are only a consequence of a young organism with a rebellious attitude and emotional outbursts, John Rid believes after the completion of work on this personal album.
The original title of the album was "Fight With Yoururslef"
The first song made for the album was "Melancholy Hope". According to the original idea of the author, it was supposed to be the final one, but in the process of work, the plans changed slightly. At the time of this composition, John Reid was still making his eighth album.
“I…I’m” is a small calm and gentle composition. After finishing work on the eighth album "Lens", John began full work on "Cry of Distant Ideals and Dreams" and with this work, which became the opening, he began to create an album.
"Life In Your Own World" - a composition invented along with the previous one. The author tried to convey to her about leaving in her own fantasy world which the person himself can build it.
During the creation of the composition "War Inside the Mind" - John was inspired by Rachmaninov's symphonic poem "Isle of the Dead", this is one of his favorite works of Rachmaninov, and this influence can be clearly seen in the sound itself. The author acknowledges that these works are very similar.
"Well of Apathy Eternally Painful" is a composition about a spiritual hole, apathy, into which people and the hero of this album fall.
"Beautiful Lonely Night" - at the time of the creation of this work, John Rid introduced a nocturnal lifestyle, confusing day with night. Those lonely nights inspired him. Music is best created at night, at this time of day the brain seems to open up, it becomes easy to think and come up with new ideas, and life becomes brighter. And so it is with the hero of this album, as mentioned above.
"From the Dawn of A Dream to be Reincarnated Into Life" is the final piece of the album and possibly the story. This is probably one of the difficult songs for John Reid, because the end of the album had to be bright, memorable and signify the end. The composition will memorize the howl from "Beautiful Lonely Noght" and elements from the first track "I ... I'm", as well as from "Outbrust of Greats Emotions".
